In 'Kidnapping, Caucasian Style,' a bumbling nerd is tasked with rescuing a young woman from an arranged marriage. Along the way, he enlists the help of a truck driver and a folklorist, leading to a series of misadventures, drunken antics, and encounters with corrupt officials. Set in the 1960s Soviet Union, this comedy showcases the ineptitude of the protagonist as he navigates through a chaotic world of folklore and hijinks.

Once in the fierce winter, student Roger McKay forced the shopkeeper to distribute food supplies to the Indians. Hiding from justice, the hero meets Neyda in a remote land - an orphan, brought up in the family of a merchant of stolen whiskey, who wants to quickly marry her to a rich neighbor.
