Six months after a car accident that cost her her parents, Cleo is finally starting to feel the same way before. She lives with her seven-year-old brother Bruno at her grandmother's house and is ready to return to her favorite activity – drinking parties with friends at Club No. 7. When she gets into a fight in a bar, she is given a helping hand by the reclusive Leos. Despite the ten-year age difference, they become friends, and Cleo naively hopes that there will be something more between them.
The Van Loock family and the Fawzi family both live in Kassablanka, a popular multiethnic district of Antwerp. Mr. Van Loock is a rabid supporter of the extreme right-wing political party Flemish bloc. Mr. Fawzi, a Moroccan immigrant, is a conservative Muslim. In October 2000, one week prior to a hotly contested national election, 17-year-old Leilah Fawzi falls for 19-year-old Berwout Van Loock. This development sparks a sometimes hilarious and sometimes politically incorrect love story that explores the thin walls between love and hate.
A six-part series that revolves around the ultimate confrontation of three archetypal main characters who brazenly smash into each other's lives. In each episode, the three meet each other for the first time. Fate brings them together in a precarious situation where they are completely dependent on each other. Each episode revolves around one location, one situation: a car accident , a tour of a master house that is for sale, too long a driving lesson, too great a hospital room, a lift attached and detached as a springboard to escape reality .
