Amar, a naïve nurse, is divorced by his wife, leaving him homeless and penniless. Determined to win back her affections, he takes on various odd jobs with the aim of building a fortune that will attract her attention.

Inspector Kishan lives a middle-class lifestyle in Mumbai, India, along with his younger brother, Rahul.
