In an old coat with a cardboard suitcase, Yulya arrives to conquer the capital. Her Aunt Valya helps her get a job as a live-in nurse for Alla Nikolaevna, a wealthy and capricious old woman who had a stroke. A little time passes, and Alla and her son Pavel grow fond of Yulya. Only Pavel's wife, Lena, does not believe in the "good angel". And she seems to be right…

The film will be based around three of Hoffmann's tales (Klein Zaches, The Golden Pot and The Sandman), with the main character being Hoffmann himself. In particular, it will focus on the duality between the imaginative universe of his writings and his real-life profession as a government clerk (which will be based on his letters and journals)

The story of a famous actress who had an incomprehensible attack on the set somewhere in the countryside and was urgently sent to a rural hospital. There she spends a sleepless night in complete obscurity and decides that she is leaving this world. The actress calls all the close people with whom she talks very openly, believing that they should find out the truth.

977 is a coded number relating the attempt to “test the harmony with algebra”, to figure out the mathematical regularities of emotional and spiritual realms of human being. The characters have volunteered for the experiment to be put through not only scientific researching, but also through the everyday trials of friendship, love, attractions, envy and “the strongest of affects” – the curiosity. Thus, the scientific experience turns into human one, and a result is unpredictable…
