Mr. Saadat's [Morteza Ahmadi] daughter Manizheh [Soroor Najatollahi] has agreed to marry Engineer Mehran [Ali Shoa'i]. Mr. Saadat, a mistrustful man, has Mr. Taqi [Akbar Abdi] keep an eye on Mehran. Mr. Taqi claims Mehran is a member of a gang of heroin smugglers. It soon becomes clear the smuggler in question [Babak Shoa'i] is someone else who resembles Mehran and lives in the building where Saadat lives; Mehran and Mr. Saadat's daughter are free to marry.

On his holiday, Mr. Hieroglyph wakes up tumultuous and goes to the office. He sees some signs on the screen of his computer written in hieroglyph. He goes to the central library to discover the lines. He finds a thesis his daughter has written when she was a student. By using the thesis, he reviews the story of his daughter. In the past years, she has gone to the factories and then was assigned by a political group to organize a group of mine workers to fight. Recommendations made by the girl and her friends are opposed to the opinions of the leaders. The girl distributes a leaflet on behalf of the workers which results in a disturbance. She escapes and after a while she is killed in a street struggle.

Hossein the fabric seller, before dying, bequeaths to Mr. Kamal, a pious and ascetic man, to accept the guardianship of his daughter Golrokh. Mr. Kamal takes the girl to his home. Gradually, both Mr. Kamal and his young son become fond of Golrokh.

Hossein Bazaz on his death bed wants Kamal (Ezatollah Entezami) who is a pious man to be the guardian of his only daughter Golrokh. Kamal's wife disagree because of their young boy Ahmad who lives with them at home. Kamal brings the girl to their house but his conscience is not at ease. Finally this lead to terrible consequences for him.
