Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, and with the help of a powerful yokai called Madara, he embarks on a journey to return the names of yokai that were once controlled by his grandmother.

Kiba, a fantasy anime by Madhouse and Aniplex, began broadcasting on TV Tokyo on April 5, 2006. The series is directed by Hiroshi Kōjina with Upper Deck Japan, a trading card game company, as the main sponsor. The anime has been licensed by Upper Deck USA and produced by ADV Films for North American distribution. The series is more violent than other trading-card-game-tie-in animations with many characters being killed. According to an interview with the March 2006 issue of Animage, Hiroshi Kamishina, the show's director, noted that the show "absolutely will not have any plot elements that curry favor to children". The producers of the show has also commented that Kiba will not be the type of show to put "human drama" on the back burner while concentrating on promotional tie-ins. While Upper Deck owns the rights to the series, ADV Films is the distributor and their production studio Amusement Park Media is producing the dub. Kiba aired on Toonami Jetstream from July 14, 2008 to January 21, 2009 and is now showing on The Anime Network's Video on Demand service.

Servamp is a TV show about a vampire named Kuro who forms a contract with a human high school student named Mahiru. Special A is a romantic comedy that centers around Hikari Hanazono and Kei Takishima, two prodigies in terms of academics and athletics. Despite their competitive nature, Hikari is determined to surpass Kei and defeat him in everything. As they navigate through high school life, their rivalry slowly turns into something deeper.

The film will be made up of two stories: "Ishi Okoshi" and "Ayashiki Raihousha." In "Ishi Okoshi," Natsume meets a small youkai called Mitsumi in a forest. Mitsumi is entrusted to wake up the divine youkai "Iwatetsu" from its deep slumber. Mitsumi weighs on Natsume's mind, so he sets out to help Mitsumi with his task. In "Ayashiki Raihousha," a mysterious visitor appears in front of Tanuma. Nearly every day, the visitor visits Tanuma, talks to him a little, and then leaves. Natsume, who knows the visitor is a youkai, worries for Tanuma, but Tanuma enjoys these exchanges with the youkai. The youkai means no harm, but Tanuma's health slowly starts to deteriorate.

Natsume's Book of Friends: Ephemeral Bond follows the story of Natsume Takashi, a teenager with the ability to see spirits. Natsume inherits a mysterious book from his grandmother, which contains the names of powerful spirits called Yokai. With the help of his Yokai friends, Natsume embarks on a journey to return the names to their rightful owners and unravel the secrets of his grandmother's past.
