A wealthy teenager and his friends, who attend an elite private school, discover a dark conspiracy when they investigate a series of strange supernatural events. Desperate to help her son, Rabiye Kurnaz, a housewife and loving mother from Bremen, goes to the police, notifies authorities and almost despairs at their impotence. Against all odds, something truly remarkable happens as she battles for her son's release from Guantanamo. With the help of a human rights lawyer, Rabiye embarks on a journey that takes her from her house in Bremen to the Supreme Court in Washington, fighting for justice and freedom.

Through two unique female personas the film suggests a metaphysical idea of the present as ever recurring, since the temptations, which the human soul faces, are always the same.
