Hit and Run is a 1955 drama movie about a man who accidentally hits a child with his car and decides to go on the run to avoid the consequences. The movie explores the guilt, fear, and moral dilemmas he faces as he tries to escape the law and his own conscience.

Gracefully bowing out of her life, the Pagliacci-like Sved continues his singing career to assuage his broken heart.
