A female surgeon, Eugenia Belyaeva, is chosen to perform a life-saving operation on injured cosmonaut Oleg Bogdanov at the International Space Station. As a single mother haunted by her husband's death, Eugenia must overcome personal demons while facing the challenges of performing a complex surgery in space.
