The film's two main protagonists are Russia's best saber fencers. One of them has long been in the limelight, the other only recently made it into the national team and has been winning almost every tournament since. The two athletes begin to fight for supremacy both on and off the arena.

A student of the journalism faculty, Danil, goes as a volunteer to the zone of his SMO (Special Military Operation), tired of the hypocrisy of the capital. His anti-war-minded girlfriend Alice, realizing that she is expecting a child, decides to protect her young man from a fatal mistake and goes after him.
