The story of Romeo and Juliet, a tale as old as time-- Here, played as farcical lark: A goofy comedy of manners set in a snowy Bavarian village.

A young engineer falls in love with the Russian countess Tatiana. Their relationship describes the turbulent times of Russia, when it entered the war and later the Revolution. In addition, the monk Rasputin has an important place in the story.

Robert Lambard, son of a respected Parisian banker, seduces Marguerite Walser, the sister of Guy Walser, a diligent general manager employed by his father. At these times, especially in the upper social class, such an act is of course not without social consequences, and so Guy, after learning about this relationship, demands Lambard junior to marry his sister in order to restore her "soiled" honor . But he just laughs about it and brusquely rejects this request. Since Monsieur Walser puts the family honor and that of his sister above everything else, a heated argument ensues, in which Guy summarily kills the "despoiler of Marguerite's honor". Now Guy's life is destroyed too, because he is put on trial for this bloody act. There will be a convictionmanslaughter for ten years behind bars. This punishment is connected with a deportation. For seven years, Walser spent the life of a Bagno convict in nowhere, he was an outcast.

A countess falls for a shepherd who wishes to become a monk.

In Nacht und Eis (English: "In Night and Ice"), also called Der Untergang der Titanic ("The Sinking of the Titanic") and Shipwrecked in Icebergs in the US, is a 1912 German silent adventure-disaster drama film about the sinking of the Titanic. It is the second one made, and the first surviving one, about the disaster.

Berchtesgaden in the 15th century: A power struggle between mountain peasants who have been raising milk cows on common land and a village bailiff trying to gain power driving them off the land. Both have a ducal documents that states the opposite.

A mother is so shocked by her daughter's almost being overrun by a car that she needs internment in a sanatorium. The doctor, in love with her, takes advantage of her amnesic cataleptic state to make believe she has died and take her away from her family. Destiny, though, will make them meet again.

Judith, Count Robert de Bertan's daughter, is on holiday with her friend Louise and her father Marquis Emile de Fers. Meanwhile, banker Charles Delcourt has introduced De Bertan to the owner of a gambling-and-dance hall, Olga Tatschowas. De Bertan, unaware that his banker has lost the capital he gave him to invest at Olga's gambling tables, falls in love with Olga. He marries her, unaware that he is the victim of a plot hatched by Delcourt and Olga, who desires a title and De Bertan's possession.
