In the small town of Ohio, a young boy stumbles upon a hidden recipe for magical doughnuts. With the help of a kind-hearted homeless person and his uncle, he opens a donut shop that becomes the talk of the town. As their business grows, they face challenges and calamities but ultimately learn the importance of family, friendship, and the sweet taste of success.
This film captures a bit of their environment, which includes the Lower East Side, the Waldorf Astoria, the MacDougal Street scene, police harassment, show biz, humanity, their audiences and the film-maker.
Some of the problems facing Giuseppi are juxtaposed with his music, Satan's Dance. The pictures depict the opposite view which is fortuitously any sunny day in the park with his wife and son. The joy of the boy is the inspiration of the father. A straight-forward, simple documentary.
