The film revolves around a boy called Mahinder who comes to tinsel town with the youthful innocence and exuberance associated with small towns. His sheer perseverance, dexterity and histrionics makes him earn the admiration of both critics and fans.

Sitaram Bhardwaj lives in a village in Central India with his daughter, Geeta, who studies in a city. He is asked to contest the state elections against Dhurjan Singh, which he reluctantly accepts. Geeta returns home to assist her father.
