In the small village of Glória, a secret mission is underway during the colonial war. As a community radio station broadcasts coded messages, the danger escalates and the village becomes the center of a political storm.

Ruy Duarte de Carvalho, poet and novelist, finds out that his father left papers in the Namib desert that would help him shed light on a mystery that occurred in 1923. Through his search, he embarks on an epic tale that goes from the turn of the 19th century to the end of the 20th, in the magnificent Angolan south.

A hotel by the northern shore of Portugal welcomes its guests over the weekend. A man is torn between being present for his wife and the space that his mother takes up between the two of them. A mother encourages her daughter’s marriage to enable her own love affair with her son-in-law. Another mother lives through her daughter, preventing her from making her own decisions.
