The Needle is a drama mystery thriller movie set in Russia during the period of glasnost. It revolves around a young man named Moro who returns to his hometown Leningrad after staying in the army. Moro is a drug addict and gets involved with a group of Hare Krishna devotees. The story follows Moro's struggles with addiction, love, and the search for a mysterious needle.
