Five stories interwine into one. A blind man hovers above the city. Everything looks set for a perfectly normal evening in Reykjavík, until the the power goes off?

A thirtysomething couple, Hringur and Elsa, are about to buy their dream house in downtown Reykjavík when the video store Hringur owns faces foreclosure. As the crisis threatens to split them apart, Hringur resolves to sort things out before it’s too late.

On September 30th 2015 public broadcaster RUV in Iceland invited people to submit videos about their lives on that particular day. The film is made up of those contributions from hundreds of people all over the country. The film premiered on RUV a year later, on October 2nd, as a part of the celebrations of fifty years of RUV TV (September 30th 2016).

In the run up to Christmas 2017 Iceland's public broadcaster RUV invited people to submit videos about their lives during the holiday preparations and celebrations. People from all over the country and abroad submitted their own material, filmed during 17.-25. december 2017.
