You're in the Navy Now (1951)

A group of men are assigned to the USS Pineapple, a naval ship, and must navigate the challenges of military life during wartime. Lieutenant John David Hutton, a journalist, is among the new recruits and finds himself caught between his duty and his desire to document the experiences of his fellow sailors. With the help of Chief Quartermaster Paul Berson, Lieutenant Hutton learns the ropes and gains a new appreciation for the sacrifices made by those in uniform.
