Winter Passing (2005)

A struggling actress in New York City, Reese Holden, has been living with her parents in a suburban house in Ann Arbor for too long. Reese agrees to visit her estranged father at his snowy Michigan lodge during the winter. On arrival, she discovers that her father is a beat-up ailing man haunted by memories of his deceased wife. He eventually reveals a box of love letters written to him by Reese's mother, revealing a hidden side of their relationship.
