In 'Wildcat,' a young British soldier, Harry Turner, returns from war in Afghanistan suffering from severe depression and PTSD. He travels to the Peruvian Amazon with the intention of ending his life but unexpectedly meets Samantha Zwicker, an American scientist and conservationist. Together, they embark on a journey to raise orphaned wildlife, including two ocelots, in the remote Las Piedras River. The solitude of the rainforest and the bond they form with the animals provide Harry and Samantha with a newfound sense of purpose and renewal. This documentary explores the profound impact of wild places on individuals who have experienced trauma and the reciprocal influence humans have on nature.
