Flynn plans to crack the system at ENCOM Corporation to prove the stolen code is his. However, the powerful artificial intelligence called the Master Control Program captures and digitizes Flynn. In the digital world, Flynn teams up with the security program TRON to escape and defeat the MCP. They confront the MCP and expose Dillinger's deceit, leading to Flynn taking his place.
