Tremors (1990)

In a small isolated town, strange underground creatures are killing the residents one by one. Natives Val and Earl, along with seismologist Rhonda, must find a way to survive and defeat the creatures. As they try to escape, the creatures get smarter and more dangerous. Using their wits and some explosive techniques, they manage to outsmart the creatures and save the town.
