Three best friends find a late-nineteenth century Italian bridal veil during an annual girls' weekend getaway. Enchanted by its legend, they purchase it together, despite not being close to getting married. Avery, the first to possess the veil, is vying for a promotion at the museum where she works. As she plans the museum's gala with Peter, a handsome man she met in San Francisco, their relationship is affected by his changing emotions, the refurbishment of a lost painting, and the power of the veil.
