The Time Machine (1960)

In the year 1900, a scientist invents a time machine and travels to the year 802,701, where he discovers a dystopian future. He encounters two opposing societies: the peaceful and naive Eloi and the underground-dwelling, cannibalistic Morlocks. As he tries to find a way back to his own time, he forms a friendship with a young Eloi woman and learns the dark secrets of this future world.
