The Secret of Moonacre (2008)

When 13-year-old Maria Merryweather's father dies, leaving her orphaned and penniless, she is forced to leave her luxurious London life to live with Sir Benjamin, an eccentric uncle she didn't know she had, in the mysterious Moonacre Valley. Once there, Maria discovers that she is the last Moon Princess and must solve the mystery of the Moon Pearls to end an ancient curse and save the valley. Along the way, she encounters talking animals, magical creatures, and discovers her own strength and bravery.
