During World War II, an army lieutenant escapes from a German prisoner-of-war camp in Kent, England. He embarks on a dangerous journey across the frozen lake district, pursued by German soldiers and their scent hounds. In order to survive, he must use his wits, bravery, and resourcefulness to outsmart the enemy and make his way to safety in Canada.
