The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988)
Detective Frank Drebin, a comical and incompetent cop, discovers a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II. With the help of his partner Nordberg and Ludwig's secretary Jane, Frank must stop the assassination and save the Queen's life. Along the way, he faces misunderstandings, unintentional harm, mind control devices, and even gets fired and blamed for various crimes. But through his bumbling yet clever actions, Frank ultimately saves the day.
