The Mysterious Island (1973)

In this adventure sci-fi movie, a group of prisoners, including a captain, an engineer, a reporter, and a sailor, manage to escape from a Confederate prison during the American Civil War. They use a hot-air balloon and find themselves on a mysterious island filled with strange creatures and hidden treasures. As they explore the island, they encounter Captain Nemo and his submarine, encounter hostile natives, and encounter an intelligent talking chimpanzee. They must find a way to survive and escape from the island.
