In The Mistress of Spices, Tilo, a mystical woman with the ability to control spices, must navigate her own desires and the rules of her profession as she falls in love with an American man. Set in San Francisco, Tilo uses her spices to help customers find love and happiness, but when she breaks the rules by falling for a customer, she puts her own powers and livelihood at risk.
