In 17th century France, identical twins are separated at birth and one is raised as a commoner while the other becomes King Louis XIV. The commoner, who bears a striking resemblance to the king, is imprisoned wearing an iron mask and his friends, the Three Musketeers, hatch a plan to free him and restore justice.
