A teacher lives a lonely life, struggling with the custody of his son. He finds love and receives good news, but it's shattered by an innocent lie. Lucas, a teacher at a Danish kindergarten, is divorced and battles to maintain a bond with his son. He forms a relationship with his coworker Nadja. Their peaceful life is disrupted when a pupil falsely accuses Lucas of indecent exposure. The community believes the accusation and Lucas faces ostracism and violence. Despite being released without charge, suspicion remains, leading to a year of tension and an unknown attacker.
