As they work together, they clash due to their conflicting styles of police work. However, they must put aside their differences to solve the case. Along the way, they discover a connection between Mullins' brother and Larkin's organization. They go undercover, face dangerous situations, and eventually bring Larkin to justice. Despite their differences, Ashburn and Mullins develop a strong bond and friendship.
