The Grinch, a grumpy hermit, lives in solitude on Mount Crumpit. He despises the Christmas season and decides to steal all the decorations and presents from the cheerful residents of Whoville. However, his encounter with a little girl and the kindness he witnesses eventually softens his heart and he learns the true meaning of Christmas.
