In a small mountain village in the Swiss Alps, a stingy old man is known for his cold-heartedness and drunkenness. One snowy night, he stumbles upon the frozen corpse of a friend and decides to move the body to try and collect funeral expenses. Along the way, he encounters various challenges and meets new people, including a prostitute and a tramp. Through these encounters, he gradually learns about friendship and the warmth of love. This comedy-drama is a satirical take on narrow-mindedness and hypocrisy.
