The Fifth Element (1997)

In the colorful future, a cab driver unwittingly becomes the central figure in the search for a legendary cosmic weapon to keep Evil and Mr. Zorg at bay. Every five thousand years, a Great Evil appears whose purpose is to destroy life. In 2263, the Evil arrives and destroys an interplanetary battleship fleet. The Mondoshawans, aliens who possess the only weapon capable of defeating the Evil, give the stones to a trusted individual - the diva Plavalaguna. Meanwhile, the industrialist Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg attempts to gain the stones to fulfill the Evil's wish. A cab driver named Korben Dallas, with the help of a priest and a human-like being named Leeloo, becomes involved in the mission to recover the stones and save the world.
