The Cell (2000)
An FBI Agent persuades a social worker, who is adept with a new experimental technology, to enter the mind of a comatose serial killer in order to learn where he has hidden his latest kidnap victim. Child psychologist Catherine Deane is an expert in an experimental treatment for coma patients: a virtual reality device created by Dr. Henry West that allows her to enter the minds of individuals in a vegetative state and attempt to coax them into consciousness.
