In The Birdcage, an effeminate man, Armand, and his partner, Albert, own a drag club in South Beach. Their lives are turned upside down when Armand's son announces he is marrying the daughter of a conservative senator. In order to impress his future in-laws, Armand must pretend to be straight and Albert must pretend to be a woman. Hilarity ensues as the couple navigates the challenges of maintaining their charade while dealing with their own identity crises.
