While on vacation in Thailand, Richard discovers a map to a secret island paradise. Accompanied by Françoise and Étienne, he swims across to the island and becomes a part of the beach community. However, the idyllic island and its community start to unravel, leading to betrayal, violence, and ultimately, an escape back to the mainland.
