Two men, Benigno and Marco, care for two women in comas. Benigno takes care of Alicia, a dance student whom he has been obsessed with for a while. Marco cares for Lydia, a famous matador whom he falls in love with. The story unfolds in flashbacks, intertwining the relationships between the four characters. Lydia ends up comatose after a bullfighting accident, and Alicia wakes up from her coma after giving birth to a stillborn baby. Benigno dies from an overdose, and Marco and Alicia meet by chance at the end of the film.
