In 1930s Spain, a young Irish governess falls in love with a rich Spanish soldier amidst the turbulent political climate of fascism. As the country is on the brink of civil war, the protagonist navigates her way through wealthy and privileged families, sexual predators, and unrequited love, ultimately sacrificing herself for the ones she cares about.
