In the small town of Static, an outcast named John who is obsessed with new wave music invents a machine that can manipulate television screens. As he becomes more and more obsessed with his invention, his life takes a surreal and unexpected turn. With the help of his best friend, John embarks on a journey of self-discovery and finds solace in religion and the guidance of an older person. However, his invention soon attracts unwanted attention and puts his life and the town in danger. With a surprise ending, Static is a psychotronic film that explores themes of invention, addiction, and the search for paradise.
