Solaris (1972)

In the year 2001, a psychologist named Kris Kelvin is sent to a space station orbiting the planet Solaris to investigate the strange occurrences happening there. Solaris is a planet covered entirely by an ocean that can somehow materialize people's thoughts and memories, creating physical manifestations of them. As Kelvin spends more time on the space station, he begins to experience strange hallucinations and encounters a physical manifestation of his deceased wife. The film explores themes of love, regret, and the nature of reality.
