Sócrates (2018)

Sócrates tells the story of a 15-year-old Afro-Brazilian boy named Sócrates who lives in São Paulo. After the death of his mother, Sócrates must navigate the challenges of being a young gay teen in an environment plagued by homophobia and economic hardship. He becomes homeless and looks for work as a day laborer while dealing with his homophobic father. The film explores themes of identity, resilience, and the search for connection in the face of adversity.
