In the 16th century, Princess Aurora is cursed by an evil fairy to fall into a deep sleep for a hundred years, only to be awakened by true love's kiss. As she sleeps, a vine with thorns grows around the castle to protect her from intruders. In modern-day France, a young prince learns about the sleeping beauty and ventures into the enchanted castle to break the curse.
