Silmido (2003)

Silmido is based on a true story that took place in South Korea in the 1960s. A group of prisoners is selected and trained by the South Korean government to execute a secret mission on the island of Silmido. Their objective is to infiltrate North Korea and assassinate North Korean leader Kim Il-sung. The prisoners undergo intense training and face numerous challenges as they prepare for the operation. However, their mission takes an unexpected turn, leading to unforeseen consequences.
