Seedpeople (1992)

In the small town of Comet Valley, geologist Tom Baines and Sheriff Donnelly investigate mysterious happenings. They discover that an alien plant species, known as seedpeople, is taking over the town and possessing its residents. With the help of a teenage scientist, they must find a way to stop the invasion before it's too late.
