Rebecca (1940)

A young woman becomes the new wife of an aristocratic widower and must adjust to her role while also dealing with the spectral presence of his first wife. The housekeeper, Mrs. Danvers, is obsessed with the deceased Rebecca and tries to undermine the new Mrs. de Winter. As the new wife discovers the truth about Rebecca's death and her husband's feelings, she realizes the extent of the deception and manipulation surrounding her. In the end, she must confront Mrs. Danvers and overcome the past in order to find happiness.
