Rang De Basanti (2006)

In 2006's 'Rang De Basanti,' struggling British filmmaker Sue McKinley discovers her grandfather's diary about the Indian freedom movement. She decides to make a documentary about the revolutionaries and casts four young men to portray them. As they film, the protagonists begin to understand the similarities between their lives and the characters they play. When a corrupt defense minister causes the death of one of their friends, they resort to violence to seek justice. The film ends with a vision of the boys celebrating life and their impact on Sue's life.
