In the small town of Pontypool, a talk radio DJ and his team begin to receive strange reports of violence and chaos in the area. As they investigate further, they uncover that a deadly virus is being transmitted through language, causing people to become violent and incoherent. Trapped inside their radio station, they must find a way to survive and stop the spread of the virus before it consumes them all.
