Pixels (2010)

In the year 1982, the time capsule is sent out into space with video games of the era and the footage of the Earth. When aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as declarations of war, they attack Earth in the form of the video games. The disgraced former arcade champion, Sam Brenner, and his friends must save the planet from being destroyed by battling against the alien invaders.
