Two English comic book geeks, Graeme and Clive, travel across the U.S. to attend a comic convention. On their road trip, they encounter an alien named Paul who needs their help. They must evade a shady government agent and help Paul escape from capture. Along the way, they meet a creationist Christian named Ruth who joins their adventure. Together, they try to outsmart their pursuers and help Paul reunite with his people.
